Baby Steps

Great big, innovative, world changing ideas... are plentiful, Laurel.

People who take tiny little baby steps towards them, are rare.
You are so acing this life,
    The Universe

Take the baby steps, Laurel, they summon angels, unleash energies, and are the number one cause of millionaires, not that the latter necessarily matters... just sayin'.

You can do it!

You can do it, Laurel.

It's why you're there.
And it's why I'm here -
    The Universe

Though, Laurel, I have to admit that the view here totally rocks, too.

Together we can do anything.

It's working, Laurel!

Every day you're getting closer! Everything you've ever wanted is being pressed toward you. Everything is clicking. Don't let the illusions trick you. Don't let the events of today dampen your spirits. Things couldn't be any better than they now are. You couldn't have more reasons to celebrate. Now! Do it! The hardest work is done! Just show up, be present, open every door and let events unfold. Life is your stage. This is your parade. Together we can do anything.
I love it when you're hot,
    The Universe

Together, Laurel, also means we share your new, faster, fancier, lighter laptop! Cool?

Do something for someone!

I bet you could do something for someone today, Laurel, who'd remember it for the rest of their life.

In a good way.

On your mark, get set...
The Universe

Actually, Laurel, you do it all the time.

When something painful happens...

When something difficult or painful happens, Laurel, always look to see what it makes possible that wouldn't have otherwise been possible.

Like a new adventure, a closer friendship, or chocolate in your peanut butter.

Everything makes you better,
The Universe

Clever of me, huh, Laurel?

Remember Birthdays

Never underestimate the immense importance of someone's birthday, Laurel, to that same someone, on that very day.

It's like, really, really HUGE.

Especially when you appreciate that they chose it, probably one million years ago, surrounded by the wisest of the wise, scared to pieces by rumors of tigers, volcanoes, and cough medicine. Yet encouraged, nevertheless, by tales of romance, adventure, and... you.

Really.

No, really!
Thanks,
The Universe

And, Laurel, not that it should matter, but never underestimate what good may befall you when you remember that special someone, on that special day.

What comes back....

No one loses anything, Laurel, that doesn't eventually come back.
Love, grins, and horseshoes -
The Universe

And usually, Laurel, it comes back bigger, better, and zippier.

Think Highly of Yourself

What if, Laurel, the coolest person on the planet didn't know they were the coolest person on the planet? Just because of a few self doubts, a few trace fears, or the occasional twang of inadequacy. Or because they somehow thought fame, or wealth, or popularity mattered. Or because they just didn't know the effect they had on others.

It would be a pity, huh? An absolute travesty. And of course, telling them wouldn't achieve much because they'd never believe you. Never. They'd be too modest to accept it. Too naïve to believe it. And too cool to think it mattered.
So... well... ah... let's just leave it at that -
The Universe

Please, Laurel, think as highly of yourself as you possibly can. Because no matter how high that is you will still undershoot the truth... it's just a time-space thing.

Chill....

Of all the things that matter, Laurel, that really and truly matter, working more efficiently and getting more done is not among them.
Chill,
The Universe

And, quite accidentally, Laurel, such an appreciation leads to greater efficiency and more productivity. Not that that really matters.

A "Kodak Moment."

It's pretty much always been the same, Laurel: First there's the life review, then there's the homecoming parties and happy tears flowing like Niagara Falls, and finally... the sudden and profound realization that throughout their entire life all things were, indeed, possible, and that such a concept wasn't just wishful, part-time, feel-good thinking.

It's quite the "Kodak Moment."

Whoops, here comes another one. Tissues everyone!
Tallyho,
The Universe

Of course, Laurel, these Notes are beginning to change things considerably.
